For out-of towners, we recommend flying into Burbank Airport & making Pasadena, CA your homebase

Local Airports

We highly recommend flying into Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) for anyone flying in from the States.

It is a smaller, easier airport and the most convenient option for getting in and out of the LA metro area. (This is a bit of a local secret for avoiding the usual airport stress and making your travel much smoother.)

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the standard major airport and our primary international hub, with the most flight options from around the world.

If you are renting a car, there are plenty of rental options available at both airports. If you are planning to go car-free, LAX also offers the FlyAway shuttle (link here), cheap, cheerful, and reliable way to get to and from the airport with ease.

Our ceremony and reception venue is also two blooks from the metro in case you want to get the train in or out :)

Room Block

We’ll be working exclusively with the Pasadena Hotel And Pool‍ ‍For our hotel room block. We were able to negotiate a $175/night cost which is great for the area, and it happens to be beautiful! Please let us know with your RSVP if you’d like to be included and we’ll send you the details!

Visa Information

Guests traveling from Australia, Europe, and Japan are typically eligible to enter the United States under the Visa Waiver Program using an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) for short stays. You can apply for ESTA through the official U.S. government application.

Guests traveling from Ethiopia will generally need to apply for a U.S. visitor visa (B2) prior to travel, as Ethiopia is not part of the Visa Waiver Program. Applications are completed through the U.S. Department of State visa system (search: “U.S. DS-160 visitor visa application”), and we recommend applying well in advance due to appointment and processing times.

We’ll also be mailing a physical invite to any guest traveling in from abroad to have on hand in case You’re asked for proof at the airport.
